Synapse to Screen: Pre-Production Tools Conference 2011

Giuseppe is Founder, Director, and he and Danielle will be presenting at the
Synapse to Screen : Pre-Production Tools Conference
A Full day multi-session exploration of the tools available to organize and take a motion picture from the first spark of an idea up to the verge of shooting.

Exploring the tools of the trade, the early sessions are focused on the writing steps (These sessions would be of interesting to any writer), including; Capturing Lightening:
9:15a to 12:00a: Brainstorming, Mind Mapping, & Outlining
Working it out:
1:00p to 2:00p: Character & Plot Development
3:00p to 4:00p: Scripting & Screenwriting

The later sessions are devoted to the steps that take the written script and turn it into a roadmap that a collaborative creative team can turn into a motion picture., with;

4:00p to 5:00p: Storyboarding
The Rubber Hits the Road:
6:00a to 7:00p: Production Reports
7:00p to 8:00p: Budgeting
8:00p to 9:00p: Scheduling

The sessions include panels, demonstrations and comparisons.

In addition to the historical accuracy of the events, the play examines the unlikely bond, in 1875, between an educated Southern aristocrat and a self-educated former slave. It asks: What is insanity and how much did being a woman weigh against Mary Todd Lincoln in her insanity trial?

Look Away, a drama in two acts by Jerome Kilty, has never been done in this region. It’s original production in 1973 in New York starred geraldine Page and Maya Angelou. Its Director was Rip Torn.

The Santa Fe Shakespeare Society will present Shakespeare’s rollicking comedy of love, laughter, and intrigue.

The people of Messina are determined to celebrate the marriage of Hero and Claudio with all-out merry-making, and the Prince Don Pedro decides getting Benedick and Beatrice to fall in love is the ultimate prank. Unfortunately, the evil Don John and his cohorts see a perfect opportunity to stir up trouble, and they cause a huge uproar that almost destroys everything. Luckily, the inept Constable Dogberry and his band of goofy Watchmen overhear the villains gloating and save the day!

Join us as we present one of Shakespeare most-beloved comedies! Bring the whole family --- and enjoy an evening of theatre at The Lodge at Santa Fe!
