A young hero of the Free Culture Movement. Nelson and his buddy Luke Smith co-founded the Swarthmore Coalition for the Digital Commons(SCDC) a group dedicated to the Open Source / Free Culture Movement. The Free Culture Movement might be one of the movements you haven't heard of yet, but you will. Giuseppe spoke with Nelson for about an hour and covered a range of topics revolving around open source issues, but the reason Nelson's story is so intriguing is that it has many Big Picture implications. Giuseppe and Nelson discuss the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Voting Machines, Free Speech, SCDC's lawsuit against Diebold and why we need to get things fixed before the upcoming elections. I know you will enjoy this discussion with Nelson Pavlosky and I hope it will insight the change that is so needed, sooner rather than later. Nelson mentions some ways to get involved.

Electronic Frontier Foundation
Freeculture.org
Online Policy Group
Wired News article "Aussies Do It Right: E-Voting"
The Presidential Reporting Project @ journalism.berkeley.edu article "Dear Diebold, California wants you gone.
